Case Management Services
Before beginning this individual path to success, Unique Steps provides consultation services to create a vision for your child’s future. Starting with an idea of how your child will be a contributing member of society as an adult, our mission is to work back through the years to develop a plan with this end goal in mind. The implemented method is formed through examining school documentation, neuropsychological reports, doctor reports, IEPs, and any other information the parents wish to provide. This process creates a plan of action tailored to your child by exploring all aspects of their nature.
Advocacy Services
Unique Steps helps families navigate the special education process and advocate for individual rights under the Individuals with Disabilities Act (IDEA) and Section 504 of the Americans with Disabilities Act. We strive to collaborate with schools to correctly identify a disability, review educational testing, and create a developmentally appropriate education plan.
Remediation Services
Our mission is to provide quality individual instruction that will develop academic and communication skills through developmentally appropriate, stimulating, and challenging academic programming. We strive to build a strong foundation of knowledge and skills, fostering independence and empowering students to become lifelong learners.
Homeschool Services
Our Homeschool Services aid parents in choosing a curriculum that best suits their child’s needs and strengths. At Unique Steps, we advise parents on how to best maximize their child’s learning experience in the home by using a multi-sensory approach that encompasses all of their child’s unique talents and learning styles. At the end of the school year, we offer end of the year evaluations for the county.
